100% Fruit Sorbet – No Added Sugar

Summer is here and with the arrival of the warmer weather, nothing beats a healthy, cold sweet treat. Here’s my take on a fruit sorbet made without any added sugars, that comes together in under 5 minutes! No need for any churning or heavy creams, we’ll be using a trusty blender and lots of frozen fruit. This recipe makes 4 servings and each serving contains 135 calories, 4 grams of fibre, 16 grams of sugar and 5 grams of protein.

Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in the Vitamix container or another powerful blender in the order listed and secure the lid.
  2. Start the blender at its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed, using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades.
  3. Once you hear the sound of the motor change the blended fruit will form a mound - this happens fairly quick in less than 1 min. Stop the machine. Do not over mix or melting will occur.
  4. Serve immediately and garnish with fresh mint leaves (optional)
