Ingredients

split yellow mung daal
soak for a few hours to soften and speed up cooking time

basmati rice
cook 1 cup rice with 2 cups of water

Ghee
pinch of salt
Instructions
Boil 2 cups of water in a large pot on the stove
Add 1 cup of basmati rice and 1/4 cup of drained split mung daal
Let rice and mung cook – once rice and mung daal have cooked. Turn stove on low heat and cover lentil rice for a few minutes
Turn stove off and add 1 tsp ghee and a pinch of salt and enjoy!
